I am passionate about energy and environmental governance, particularly in crafting and advising on policies that promote sustainable development and compliance with international environmental regulations and best practices. My expertise spans offshore resource development, maritime sustainability, and civil liability related to offshore drilling activities.

The Polar region has always fascinated me, not only for its delicate and pristine nature but also for the collective interest of humanity in its preservation. I remain passionate about Arctic development and the legal frameworks designed to safeguard its unique ecosystem and the people who depend on it.

I completed my Ph.D. in Law at Bangor University, where my research examined the effectiveness of international and domestic laws in Arctic States with territorial claims in the Central Arctic Ocean, specifically regarding civil liability for oil pollution caused by offshore drilling, particularly transboundary damage.

Additionally, I am exploring emerging areas like Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and their integration into sustainable energy strategies. My broader research interests lie in the intersection of law and maritime activities, with a particular focus on regimes governing tortious liabilities arising from shipping and hydrocarbon development. One of my contributions can be found here in the CDAL journal.

Outside of work, I enjoy finding innovative ways to simplify complex challenges related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas concerning oceans and climate change.

I am always open to collaboration, especially in advancing CCUS policies or contributing to Arctic-related projects.
